Been working on the storyboards for Scenes 3 and 5 for Faith in your fellow man, which I will then transfer to my laptop and create an animated story board to see if the planned camera moves will work. Plus it gives me something to do on the production while I am still trying to organise the shoot, It will also give me something to show to other people so they can see exactly how I want certain shots to look. |

Went and saw Kill Bill: Volume 2 tonight even though Karl rang me at the last minute to tell me he couldn't make it, I went and saw it anyway and it WAS a brilliant movie in myy opinion it was better than volume one, this version was deffinatly a Tarrintino movie with references to modern pop culture everywhere and his famous humerous dialogue, the fight scenes were great even if they were sparce, in fact the only thing that let me down was the ending, I won't spoil it but I was expecting a huge showdown with Bill but alas that was not the case. Michael Madson did well for his small part as Bud and Daryl Hanna was brilliant as the pyschotic Ellie Driver. Uma was beautifall as always and her showdown with Hanna was absolutly brilliant although qite gruesome. I plan on seeing this film again in the near future.
The major problem I had was fighting to get a seat at the cinema I managed to secure one at the back (my favourite place) simply by pushing my way through the queue - yes there was a line up but that was to be expected considering it is only the films second night in cinemas, but the experience was worth there being crowds of people everwhere. |

Finaly got around to seeing THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST and jeez did this movie shock the shit out of me, I went into the cinema knowing that it had explicit violence and how it was supposdly anti-semetic and I left just absolutly shocked. Firstly it is a VERY violent movie and the violence is extremly graphic, my friends know I am a huge horror fan and I can watch gory horror films till the end of the world and not get affected, well during this movie I was cringing, looking away from the screen and fighting the urge to recurgitate my lunch. However the violence in the film is absolutly crucial to the story - if the violence was cut or removed then I think that the entire impact and human side to the story would of been lost, but more on that later. Secondly the film is NOT anti-semetic sure the Jews were the ones that wanted him crucified and they appeared like total bastards on the screen but , but the film also shows forgivness in that as Jesus is dying on the cross he prays for the people and his father to forgive the jews for what they had done, even though they did torture him and handed him over to the romans who then savagdly beat him, he STILL asked for them to be forgiven. Though the film is not in english the languages they used realy did help with the overall experience and besides you pick up on what they are saying anyway even without the subtitles. Technical wise the film is almost perfect, brilliant cinematogphy, the sound was great and the set design and make up effects were flawless. This is a film that captivates you from the opening right until the shocking finale. When I left the cinema after it had finnished I was absolutly shocked, my hands were shaking and my complexion was paler than usual, the film had this much of an impact on me. I urge everyone to see it but be warned it is extremly graphic in nature and you just can't help but cringe in pain as Jesus is almost whipped to shreads.
I plan on seeing it again so that I can review it in more detail and hopefully the shock will have worn off.
Bottom line this is a film that must be see even if you are not religious it is a very powerfull story that Gibson is telling and it should be seen. |

Watched tonights episode of Angel and by god it was funny - Fred and Wesley Drunk, Gunn marking his territory around the office, Spike in a positive and happy mood, Angel having Sex with Eve and a very big and mean Subconsious Lorn The funniest line in the episode is once again from Spike "You pissed in the big mans chair? good on yah" - It went soemthing like that.
Got a test tomorrow in my sound recording class - it should be simple all we have to do is set up all the sound equipment, set the tone generator and colour bars. We have a time limit to do it in but I should breaze through it as long as I don't mix up the cables, in fact I think the only problem I will have is rolling the cables back up as they have to be rolled neatly and it pisses me off as I get little kinks in them everytime and the lecturers realy don't it.
My animation class was pretty good - today we started to work on lip syncing our animated charecter which isn't that hard
The artwork is going very well suprisingly as we don't have to be expert artists all we have to do is show that we can complete the tasks - today we worked on charictures ( you know like the politcal cartoons where the pictures have exagerated expressiosn and facial expressions to make fun of people - the lecturer drew a hilarious representation of Peter Jackson on the board and it was so funny but it look almost exaclty like him!
The collect and organise is going allright we have finaly moved of rotoscoping but now we on to copyright. We also have a huge assignment to do on Rotoscoping which is thankfully due in two weeks time.
Tomorrow I have my two sound classes and the studio and camera operations class then it is the end of the week for me. |

Well I now have the site up and running, I still want to add a few new things but that will have to wait till later. Mike I used your original layout and design but I have given you full credit on the opening page. TV can be so dull, Today all I found worthwhile to watch was THE LOVE BUG which starred Bruce Campbell (from the evil dead movies) but I have seen this film so many times before and it realy has lost its appeal. Tonight I think the Mummy returns, moulin Rouge and 15 minutes are on in the 8:30 time slot. I can't decide which to watch as I have seen them all several times before so I think I will be switching channels between the adds so I can watch all three at once as well as work on my presentation for an assignment due tomorrow morning - it is going to be a late night. |

The UPN have decided to not pick up the Angel series
http://www.buffy.nu/article.php3?id_article=3415
No Angel On UPN - First Confirmation From DavidFury.net & Buffistas.org - By Allyson - 2004-03-3rd
Allyson at DavidFury.net and Buffistas.org has confirmed that UPN has decided to pass on the offer to air Angel on their network. It’s been an incredibly ride, but it seems as if this chapter in the Jossverse has truly closed.
Let`s hope TNT/Scifi or Fox will finally pick up Angel. |

todays lectures were allright apart from having an assignment due in every class ! which I forgot about so thanks to some quick thinking and working hard during the lesson I managed to get all three completed and handed in. They were simple enough tho they were time consuming, so for same three classes I have another three assessments due next week, plut whatever else I get given tomorrow. Angel on tonight - can't wait. |

Went into the city and caught up with Karl and Mike today, Had lunch, went to Fremantle and checked out the Fremantle Markets, after that we went to the IMAX theatre and Watched Underworld which is an alright action movie but the problem it is can be summed up in a single sentence - Vampires vs Werewolfs,Kate Beckansal in Leather, Rain, Flashy visuals and repetitive gun fights. But it was just an enjoyable popcorn flick, I also think that I liked it was because of the huge cinema screen which puts you right into the action. |

Just watched Bad boys 2 and I realy liked it it had everything an action movie needed - guns, fast cars, explosions, car chases constant shootouts and a nast bad guy. This film was purly popcorn with a dash of comedy - the scene where Lawrence accidently ingests two ecstaty tablets is absolutly hilarious. A word of warning though the film is extremly violent - especially the part where all of the dead bodies fall out of the truck onto the highway which then get run over by smith and lawrence is quite disgusting. Director Bay certainly knows how to make an extremly stylish action flick even if he did copy bullet time ( thank god it was only used twice). |

[Feb. 20th, 2004|07:53 pm] |
Well todays weather was absolutly brilliant, it wasn't hot and it wasn't cold in fact the weather was so good I had an excuse to dust of my leather jacket and wear it for the first time in months. Went Job Hunting today and it seems that I have overestimated how easy it is to find a job but I will prevail! Bought another copy of Night of the living dead (it is a US import with tons of special features) I also bought THE RECRUIT ( which I realy enjoyed) and BAD BOYS 2 (havn't watched it yet) so today has been realy pro-active, and tonight I am thinking of going out but I don't know if I should. |
